Here are a couple of pictures from last Friday in class.
Ask your student what happened when we let the egg sit in corn syrup over night
and.....
an egg that set in water over night....
See how the inside of the egg was green?
The scientific word for water traveling through a cell is osmosis!
Miss Koch LOVE love LOVES Venn Diagrams! So here we compared the eggs in corn syrup and water!

We celebrated Peytons birthday!
This is a new decoration in our room, we will start Mitosis on Monday!
So, this picture is not from our classroom, it is from Tuesday night, I took admissions at the JV football game! One of the reasons I moved back to NE was for the sunsets, here are some beautiful NE clouds for ya!
back to the classroom,
Some students wanted to present their cell projects! Here is Halle presenting her soccer ball cell!
We had some extra time, so the students were working with Pentaminos, some critical thinking in math class!
It was also Alyssas birthday this week!
She handed out M&M's and instead of eating them Drew made a picture of photosynthesis!! What a creative mind! :)
We learned some new vocab this week, so we ended the week with vocab theatre, one of my fav's where the students "act" out the words and the others have to guess which one of the 7 words they are acting out!
Learning about Prime and Composite numbers! Lizzie filling in her chart.
Ethan got to redeem his scratch off ticket, which was to use the exercise ball for 1 class period.
