Hello Parents!
One of my goals this year is to incorporate more technology in the classroom, and incorporate parent involvement. I would love for you to be involved in your students learning experience and be a part of their 6th grade year.
Remind 101 is something new that I wanted to try this year. It is a safe texting system that I, as a teacher, am able to send out text messages in bulk, to parents, about happenings in our classroom.
I will be sending notifications about:
-upcoming tests
-papers that need signed
-projects in math/science/reading
-Questions you may be able to ask your students to assess their learning for the day.
I believe that the most important part of learning is the support that the students receive at home. I believe that through this system I will be able to communicate with you about the happenings in and out of our classroom!
Directions on how to set this up on your phone!
You will need to save the contact Remind 101/ or Miss Koch notifications in your phone
The number is 971-216-3717
Send a text to this number saying @koc
This number will then send you a text back saying “Thanks, Miss Koch needs to know who you are before adding you to @koc. Please reply with your full name. –remind 101”
You will then need to text your first and last name.
You will get a text back saying “Thanks `your name`! As a member of @koc you will receive all Miss Koch’s notifications. –remind 101
And you are all set up! Congrats!

If you need more information you can go to their website www.remind101.com
This is going to be a wonderful year! –Miss Koch
